Paying in crypto safely: a short checklist

Crypto payments are final. A ninety second check before you press send is worth more than any amount of care afterwards.
On-chain payments cannot be reversed, recalled or charged back. That property is what makes them private and quick, and it is also what makes a mistake permanent. Everything below takes under two minutes and removes almost every realistic way to lose funds.
Before you send
- Check the network first. The network in your wallet must match the network on the payment page exactly.
- Copy the address, never retype it. A single wrong character sends funds nowhere recoverable.
- Check the first and last five characters of the pasted address against the page. Clipboard-hijacking malware swaps addresses silently, and this catches it.
- Send the exact amount shown, including every decimal. Rounding breaks automatic matching.
- Account for your exchange's withdrawal fee, so the amount that arrives is the amount expected.
After you send
Leave the payment page open. It checks for confirmation on its own and moves you along when the network confirms. Crediting normally takes a few minutes, mostly spent waiting for confirmations rather than on anything we do.
Sending twice because the first attempt seemed slow is a common and expensive mistake. The unique amount identifies one payment; a duplicate needs manual handling. If a payment looks stuck, contact support before sending anything else.
Protecting the account you receive
- Treat delivered credentials like a password, because that is what they are.
- Do not change the account's own login details. It breaks warranty cover and usually breaks the account.
- Do not share the account widely. Concurrent-use limits are enforced by the provider, not by us.
What privacy here does and does not mean
We ask for an email and a password, and nothing else. No card, no identity documents, no third-party tracking. What we cannot do is make a public blockchain private: the transaction itself is visible to anyone who looks, as it is for every on-chain payment. Privacy here means we do not collect more than we need, not that the chain forgets.
